Well, you could talk about something which is not the same but similar, maybe something you've done a project about... if you make the transition smooth, you are still in the game. Projects, projects, projects: what did you practically do? Which projects? Did you do them in team or on your own? Be prepared to answer to EVERYTHING you put on your CV.

Any tips would be helpful, but I am mostly afraid of not being able to answer or meet their requirements in terms of technical knowledge although I have literally no experience yet. However, you should definitely do some general research in the field that you are interviewing for and learn about the specifics of what that company does. Make it clear to them that you want to work for a company to helps you grow and that you can see yourself having a future at the company/In this field of engineering. But to be honest most interviews are for the company to see if you're going to be a good fit in their company culture. So treat the interview like a conversation instead of an interrogation. Try to relax and be comfortable when talking about yourself. Also if they do ask you some more technical questions, NEVER just say "uhhh, I don't know" or "I never learned that" use your engineering logic and intuition to give them the best answer you can think of even if it's wrong or not perfect.

I'm 21 years old and this opportunity is one that will change my life. My wife and I make very little money and this job would almost ensure money is no longer a problem for us. I'm extremely excited just for the opportunity to interview but I want to distinguish myself above the competition and I want to know how to prep to do so. I have about 19 days until the interview and I'm just about ready to do anything may it be just studying hard or even pulling all nighters to really pull myself ahead of the other applicants. Any pointers to do so would be greatly appreciate.
Here's the message from the company: During this interview, we would like you to present a topic to us and train us how to use it (mock training). For the "mock training", please prepare a 10-15 minute training on how we can better utilize Google Chrome, an email provider (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo), or another web application for business use and how we can be more effective with that tool. You will present this over Zoom where you'll also be able to share your screen. Any tips or suggestions? Any great programs that would be a good topic? Should I prepare a Powerpoint presentation or walk them through the actually program as I "train"? Thanks for any help!

Ok, let's start from the basics, which are not made of technical knowledge, but common sense. Bring a smile and an eye contact. A smile brings always joy, and eye contact shows not only confidence, but also trust. Say goodmorning/goodafternoon or whatever similar and take your place. At the end, thanks for the opportunity and say goodbye. I know this sounds obvious, but I see very weird things... Traits that you want to show ALWAYS: trustworthiness: at the end of the day people are gonna have expections on you delivering results, so they need to trust you first. Self confidence: it indicates different things. First, that you think you are the right candidate for the job, so you didn't just "tried the interview" but you could really represent the right fit. Second, it is an indication that you already have some acheivements. Think about this: if every time you spoke up you were unsuccessful and told to shut up, now you wouldn't probably be that confident anymore;) Communication: you not only have to be the right candidate, you also have to make them understand you are!
Tips to prepare for job interview over phone
Curiosity & motivation: these are inner drivers. There will be times in which you will be frustrated with the project not going the way you want. The more curious and motivated you are, the more resilient you are gonna be. But there is more: motivation is always inspiring for people, it's just human nature: use this card in your favour. Ask questions to the recruiter, the interview it's a 2 way communication. TECHNICAL part: there is a reason why I didn't put this section as first. If you don' display at least some of the traits I mentioned before, the chances you are gonna get hired are infinitesimal, even if you excel in your technical field. Moreover, in a lot of companies the first round of interviews is not technical, but it is not performed by engineers, rather by EVER, to nail the technical part: Analyze carefully what are the requirements they ask for in the application: what do they want you to know? If you know all that stuff/have all those skills, perfect! If not, prepare yourself an answer for when they are gonna ask you about that: what answer?

I had an offer with a major automotive parts supplier. In the interview, they asked me a very technical question that pertained specifically to one of their products. It is better to say that you can learn to better suit their needs rater than BS your way through a question.
